TARF Chicago ("we," "us," "our") is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the Turkish-American Muslim community in the greater Chicago area.
2. What We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to process donations and respond to inquiries: your name, email address, and payment details when you make a donation. If you subscribe to our mailing list, we store your email address.
3. Why We Collect It
We use your information to process donations, send tax receipts, communicate about events and community news, and respond to your messages. We never sell your personal information.
4. How Payments Are Processed
Donations are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data handling.
5. Third-Party Services
We may share limited data with service providers who help us operate (e.g., Stripe for payments, email delivery services). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
6. What We Do NOT Do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share donor information with unrelated third parties.
7. Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use our website. No personal data is shared with advertising networks.
8. Data Retention
Donation records are retained as required by tax law. Contact form submissions are kept for a reasonable period to facilitate communication. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
9. Tax-Deductibility
As a 501(c)(3) organization, we are required to maintain donation records for tax purposes. Your donation history is stored securely and used only for issuing tax-deductible receipts.
10. Your Rights
